M-LE, McMaster Live Entertainment, is proud to offer you a new way to coordinate your tournaments by reducing your workload and helping the environment by going digital / paperless!! Your tournament will also be viewable to anyone with an internet connection. Promote your school and tournament!
Our system is designed to spread the work around. As the coordinator, you job ends after setting up the tournament. We designed the system for the referee's to enter in the scores from the game/match. Our system does the rest...EVEN RANKING by tie-breaking rules (no manual calculations needed).
HOW IT WORKS
M-LE uses Google Sheets for our program. We chose this as it is free, accessible to everyone, and is widely used. A Google account is not necessary.
For the Tournament Coordinator:
Complete the M-LE Event form with as much information as possible (teams, pools, times, dates, courts, etc. - please see the form, link).
Coordinator will receive an email from M-LE containing the eTournament.
Once the setup of the tournament is complete, you only have to print off the printables (if desired).
No further action is required.
Any changes that you make in the tournament set-up, will automatically be updated throughout the tournament but NO FURTHER ACTION REQUIRED.
Find a sponsor(s) to help off-set the expense. Sponsor(s) can have an ad or their logo presented throughout the eTournament, for a small coding cost. Such ads, like “show us our ad and get 5% off” or the ad can feature a code that they’d have to present to get a discount. Options are endless.
For the referee coordinator:
During the setup of the tournament, the referee (assignor) coordinator will also receive an email from M-LE containing the eTournament.
There are two sections (R1 and R2) which is for the referee coordinator. The referee coordinator will list the names of the officials for the tournament with their contact information under R1. The referee coordinator will then assign each official to a game/match in R2.
The referee coordinator can automatically email each referee with the tournament information and schedule.
No further action is required. Any changes made will automatically update all referee's schedules without any further actions.
For each referee:
Each referee may receive an auto generated email with a file called eOfficials, which automatically contains the tournament information and the referee schedule/assignments.
Within this file, each referee will submit the scores to the program. The program will automatically update the entire tournament (including any pools/brackets/team schedules).
The purpose of the referee’s submitting the score is to reduce the workload for the tournament coordinator, to reduce any errors, and to keep things simple.
Scores will automatically be updated throughout the entire tournament, for everyone.
All pools, rankings are fully automated with tie-breaking rules built in. No effort needed!
For each Team/Coach:
Each coach will receive an auto generated emailed invitation to your event.
This email will contain all the information they require for your event, including an eTeam Roster.
In the eTeam Roster, each coach can submit their roster for the tournament. They can also submit a team photo for their team profile.
Each team will have a team profile, which will list the team’s roster, team’s profile, team’s logo (if available), and team photo (if available).
As a bonus, for volleyball, premade lineup cards with schools’ logo (if available).
NOTE: M-LE is not responsible for the information provided on the roster. It is up to each team/coach to follow FOIP for roster names and the team photo.
For the Public:
The public will see tournament information, venue information, live streaming links (if available), tournament draw that indicates which games/matches have been completed, schedule by team, schedule by playing surface, team profiles, pools/scores/rankings, and the playoff brackets.
All content is automatically updated. All components of this program is live and online.
